Grand Designs Australia featuring Peninsula Recycled Timber.
Take a look behind-the-scenes of Grand Designs Australia, Transformations, Series 1, Episode 3 - Mornington Peninsula & Exley. Aired on January 18 2024
Peninsula Recycled Timber recently had the privilege of supporting a very exciting, cutting-edge build which was featured on Grand Designs Australia. The episode showcases the build from development of the clients’ initial plans through to planning, building and final touches.
Our team was brought in to provide expertise on the use of timber both indoors and outdoors, helping to blend sustainability with style throughout the property.
The client was renowned television broadcaster Yvonne Yong, whose designs were brought to life by the talented team at Studio Jung.
Throughout the episode, we had the opportunity to showcase some truly stunning timber. From the striking entranceway and retaining walls to the inviting indoor cladding, and floating shelves, every piece bore the unique character and undeniable charm of sustainably-sourced timber.
What made our feature on Grand Designs Australia truly special was the chance to witness how our products complemented the visions of Yvonne Yong. In this project we were able to support the design team at Studio Jung and client at every step and it was quite a thrill to see it all come together at the end!
The client and build teams faced unique challenges brought on by the sloping block and the weather and we could not be happier at how it turned out for the client.
The team at Peninsula Recycled Timber were thrilled to play a supporting role in bringing the client’s design dreams to life. Yong envisioned a home that blended seamlessly with the natural environment; fostering a sense of connection and harmony within both the indoor and outdoor spaces.
We are grateful for the opportunity to showcase our products and wish to extend a huge thank you to @yvonneyong2014, @studiojung, @granddesignsau, and @abctv for the opportunity to be a part of this breathtaking build.
